      EI’s Lodging SafetyWorks Video Wins Telly Award

      2009, Orlando, Florida - The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) has won a Telly Award for its new video training program, "Lodging SafetyWorks." The Tellys, which recognize outstanding television commercials, video productions, and films, are among the most sought-after awards in the non-network TV, commercial, and video industry. "Lodging SafetyWorks" was a winner in the category of Non-Broadcast Productions: Safety. This is EI's tenth Telly Award-winning production.

      Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television state, cable operators, interactive agencies, and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly Awards receives more than 13,000 entries annually from all 50 states and countries around the world.

      "Lodging SafetyWorks" is a risk management program that provides hospitality employees with an overview of major safety issues that can be encountered at a lodging property, and how to prevent or minimize them. Topics including motion safety, fire prevention, chemical care, bloodborne pathogens, and machine safety are covered. A companion guide offers trainers additional material for presenting safety training to staff members.
